The story so far

Leaving his parents in Lavender Town, in the Kanto region, Ryan chose to set off for the Kaspan region to begin his journey as a pokemon trainer. Although it would have been easier to begin his journey in his native region, Ryan was always the adventurous type, always seeking a new challenge and pushing himself to the max!

Arriving in Kaspan, his first port of call would be Professor Lief's laboratory, where he met the latter and a rather unruly Meowth. After a brief conversation, Lief presented him with eight pokemon to choose from. After much deliberation, Ryan finally decided on Cyndaquil as his starter pokemon, a timid little thing he named a Flare.

Leaving the laboratory, Ryan and Flare didn't get very far when the professor called him back. Apparently, he had completely forgotten that he was also giving away some pokemon that had been affected by a strange type of berry. Only three kinds had been affected, Ekans being one of them. Leaving with Ekans, whom he named Bindy, he was finally able to set off on his journey.
