Bored, sore, and of course, now the offical babysitter of these eggs, Kiba wasn't necessarily in the best of moods. His golden Devil trotted alongside him, showing off yet again. Kiba knew he was; his head was held higher than usual, and he didn't growl at staring passer-by's. Kiba clutched the warm Smeargle egg; he smiled thinking about the other trainers who were given the other clutch mates. They would have decent Pokemon, Kiba knew. If they didn't, then they could abandon them and Kiba would do his best not to feel bad for giving bad Pokemon. "En?" Devil whipped his head over to the side, then back at his trainer, his tail wagging extremely slightly. "What?" Kiba asked almost boredly, holding the egg close. "Might!" Called the Pokemon, bounding off towards a village and towards the Pokecenter. Sighing, Kiba gave chase to the Pokemon, before realizing he was looking at someone he hadn't seen in a long time. "AJ?"

AJ was waiting on the result of her breeding; her Feraligatr and Ditto for a possible chance at selling her eggs for some extra cash. Her Pichu sat on top of her head, knotting her bangs as he waited for the rest of his team to come out. AJ had spent the night in the Pokecenter again, as she didn't have the money to buy a proper tent, and she was too proud to rough it out like some trainers. Besides, she had things to do and she wasn't out to battle; she was out to breed, and give people their dream Pokemon without the dangerous cost of an arm and a leg. The Pokecenter doors swung open, and her Pichu squealed.

'AJ?'

Turning slowly - so she wouldn't sent Chi flying - AJ turned and saw someone she hadn't seen since she was a child. "Kiba?" She asked, before a smile came over her face. "Hey! Long time no talk, you loser!" The last time they had talked, AJ was eight years old. She moved to hug him, but stopped when she saw the golden Mightyena at his feet. "Oh, Kiba! He's beautiful!" She bent down to his Pokemon and stuck her hand out, allowing the Mightyena to sniff it. Chi in return launched herself at Kiba, clinging to his chest.

Kiba chuckled. Loser? "I see you haven't grown up since we talked last," the male said, making a point to remind her that they were both still only children when they last spoke to each other. He brushed his hair behind his ear, watching her for a few seconds. She had grown up and into her once lanky body. How old was she now? They weren't much older than each other; he knew she was not much other than seventeen. Kiba cast his eyes down to where she was reaching for his shiny Mightyena, and he smiled. Before he could tell her he traded nearly twenty Pokemon to get it, a yellow blur latched itself onto his chest.

He held the egg in one hand and cupped the Pokemon in the other, glancing at it. A Pichu? Devil sniffed her hand, looked at Kiba to see if she was a threat, and when Kiba shook his head, the Mightyena licked AJ's palm and stuck his nose against it, his tail beginning to wag. "What're you up to these days? How'd you land a ticket to this god-forsaken-island?" Kiba asked her, smiling at his blonde friend.

AJ gasped up at Kiba, a slight blush forming on her cheeks, as well as a small smile. "What! I have so grown up! For your information I'm almost seventeen years old." Jeez had it really been almost nine years? She returned her attention to the golden Mightyena and then looked back at Kiba, and giggled when she saw Chi stuck to his chest, and then she saw the egg. Was a breeder, too? She rubbed the Mightyena between the ears before she stood up and peeled her Pichu from Kiba, smirking when her Pichu clambered over her face and perched on top of her head again.

"I got an invite from Professor Lief, cos I'm a breeder." AJ said. "I guess you can say 'I told you so'." Kiba had mentioned something about AJ not being able to see Pokemon hurt, so she wouldn't take the normal trainer route when she got the chance. "I got my licence and got a few badges back in Kanto, and yeah. I might have to get a few here so I don't run into any trouble, but you never know." AJ fished out a small piece of Pokemon kibble and handed it to Chi, to began to munch on it happily. "So tell me the story about this beautiful Pokemon, and why you're here, too."

Damn, almost seventeen? She was only sixteen! When was her birthday again? He would have to give her a great gift when that day actually came. Kiba should have guessed; he wasn't that much older than she was. Wow, nine years had passed way too fast for the lanky boy. He held his egg as he stared at her, wondering where exactly that little annoying brat went and in return was replaced with this soft-blonde beauty.

Beauty?!

Kiba chuckled when he watched her Pichu clamber up and onto her head, missing the days when his little Plusle would do the same. He had to give her up though, along with the rest of his Hoenn stash just to get the golden stud he had sitting at his feet. "I told you so," he chimed with a wicked grin his face. Kiba knew deep down he would never get her as a rival, but now with them both in the breeding business... "I haven't actually talked to the man yet, but I heard he's a real Granbull when it comes to new trainers." He laughed, before looking at his feet.

"I'm a breeder too. This is actually one of my breeding results; a Smeargle egg. Not sure what I'm going to do with it once it hatches..." Kiba admitted. He didn't really like the one he had now, so what on earth was he going to do when this one hatched? "I actually just put this guy in for some breeding, too. He's going to give some trainer a shiny Poochyena." Kiba beamed.

"Granbull? Haha! He's more like a munchy Delibird than anything else," AJ giggled as she stroked Chi's head. Her own breeding egg was in her backpack, safe and snug wrapped in her old baby blanket. So he was a breeder now. That was cool. "We should trade Pokemon one day; my whatever for your Mightyena. Of course, we would trade back once I got a few eggs outta him." AJ only had Johto related Pokemon; all of her Kanto Pokemon were released after she got some badges.

"You never did tell me how you got him, Kiba." AJ prodded. She looked at the egg in his hands and smiled. She could use a Smeargle, but then again, they really weren't her favourites. "I have a Totodile egg in my bag right now, and I gave a few away, too." AJ puffed, smiling. She enjoyed sharing, and there was nothing wrong with giving some away. "Have you ever gotten a sick egg? A few of the eggs were sick, and I never thought about how.."
