Finally, Caleb was on his way to creating his own destiny. He had finally obtained his first Pokemon in Gryff; A youthful, energetic Bagon who loved to walk beside his trainer. (As Caleb had found out to this point.) The two had begun their long, and ever-so slightly tedious journey towards becoming a champion. Caleb was still actually having a hard time figuring out why Professor Lief would give him such a powerful, dynamic Pokemon as a starter. But he certainly would not argue with it! Caleb was just one of the lucky ones he guessed.
After about a half an hour of walking, Caleb stopped to retrieve some snacks out of his bag. He happened to have a few cookies in his bag that he was sure Gryff would enjoy. Not to mention his unique Stantler he found! He had seen many a Stantler in his time. But never a tinted one! He released Stanley from his Pokeball, and gave them each two cookies. "Well guys...things have been pretty quiet so far. To be honest I'm not sure how much longer it is til' the next village. But I guess we'll see huh?" Both Pokemon gave the trainer a small nod like motion and continued to munch on their sweet treats.
After finishing his pastry, Gryff arose from the ground where he was sitting and let out a tiny cry. Upon seeing this, Stanley proceeded to emit one as well. "Alright! You guys must be feeling good now!" After giving them both a small pet, he concluded with, "Now, let's see if there are any other Pokemon around eh? A little side quest."

A Wild Pokemon Has Appeared! [atrb=border,0,true]you've encountered a shiny pokemon! The purple Wurmple was a strange one; she wasn't like the rest of her family; the red ones. Teased by the rest of the community for being different resulted in this normally docile Wurmple to become aggressive and angry with herself and of course with the Pokemon she was with. So, when she heard the cries of the Pokemon, she furrowed her non-exsistant brows and scuttled down from the tree and out from under the foliage lining most of the route. She shrieked in her tiny voice and faced the Pokemon, hoping that by winning this battle she could prove something to the rest of the community. | FEMALE , LVL 3 , TACKLE , STRING SHOT |

Caleb found exactly what he was looking for; a brand new Pokemon to add to his growing party. After hearing the small Pokemon's cry, he whipped around and faced the Pokemon. His jaw nearly hit the ground. Gryff and Stanley had also turned to face the unique Pokemon. Wurmple's were usually red, and you didn't need 20/20 vision to see that this one happened to be purple. Caleb slowly took his backpack off and retrieved a free Pokeball out of his bag but almost immediately ceased his action. He knew that throwing a Pokeball at a healthy Pokemon was futile. Instead, he pulled Stanley's Pokeball out, and placed Stanley back inside. He knew that he'd have to fight at least a little bit.
"Okay Gryff...ready for your first challenge?" Gryff jumped forward and let out a mighty cry. (At least mighty for his size.) He leaned forward to prime himself to attack. Bagon's weren't ones for defense, Caleb knew that much. "Alright Gryff! If we're gonna' catch that Wurmple, we gonna' need to weaken it first. Bite it Gryff!" Gryff gave a slight nod and leapt forward with it's mouth agape, hoping to land the attack on the Bug Pokemon.
