Alice had always enjoyed spending the late summer days sitting by the side of the road, up against a tree doing nothing. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy life without any distractions or interference. Around an hour had passed since the young woman's arrival to this particular spot on the path and she was certainly grateful for the chance to stop and rest. She enjoyed sitting and watching the wild Pokemon, sketching them and the area around them. Things were slow at the pokecenter where she volunteered so she spent all the free time drawing in forests and by lakes.
Alice had just finished a sketch of a metapod hanging from a tree when she heard a growling sound from behind her. She turned around to see her growlithe lying down, stomach growling.
"You hungry Girl?" She asked smiling. The dog jumped up, wagging her tale happily at the idea. Alice went into her bag and took out some food for her Pokemon and a sandwich for herself. The two happily ate there snacks and resumed lying around.
"You know growlithe," Alice began, "I'm board. We should head back to the pokecenter. Maybe there, even if there's nothing for us to do, at least we could sit around with AC." She said packing up her drawing book and sandwich. The growlithe happily jumped and barked at the idea. Together, the two walked along the road towards the closest town.

AJ was wandering around, her Feraligatr lumbering along behind her. Normally, AJ would have piggybacked on Hercules (yes that's his name... get over it!) but today she felt like walking, and besides today was a nice day for a walk! They were going to the Pokecenter in the next town to grab a bite to eat. It also didn't help that AJ had a bad headache from the constant noise her Pichu made all morning. Now with just her stoic, calm Feraligatr lumbering along peacefully behind her, AJ had nothing to worry about....
Except for a dog Pokemon and it's trainer. Any other Pokemon sent Hercules into a panic, and with a roar he scooped AJ up and away from the Pokemon, growling fiercly at the Pokemon. "Hercules!" AJ squealed, flailing her legs as her Pokemon continued to snarl and protect his breeder. "Hercules! Stop stop stop!" She took out his Pokeball, and that was enough for the big jawed Pokemon to set her down on the ground nicely, yet he kept his spot slightly in front of her. Putting her hand on his arm, she looked at the other trainer with a grimance. "Im sorry, he's... a tad overprotective."

Just as the dark haired girl and her pokemon were going to leave they heard growling and a roar from behind them. Growlithe went to act but Alice put her hand on the dogs head signaling her to stay calm. She was not in the mood for a battle and the trainer looked frantic enough trying to call off the pokemon.
Alice smiled at the girls words being relieved she was nice. "It's alright this little girl can get out of hand sometimes too." She said patting the dog on the head. "I'm Alice, Where are you headed to on this fine day?" She said looking ahead realizing the only thing in that direction was the same town they were headed to so it was a fairly dumb question. "If your planning on stopping up ahead maybe we could travel together." She looked at the girls pokemon, "And I promise no one will get hurt." Alice smiled hoping to put the pokemon at ease.

Staring from her spot in her starters arms, AJ wasn't completely happy that her crocodile like Pokemon wasn't listening. She would have to go to a gym or something to show the pokemon she meant business! "Huh?" AJ said, before she facepalmed and chuckled slightly, swinging her legs. "Hercules is a brute, but he's just being himself." AJ patted the crocodile Pokemon's shoulder, and looked back down at Alice. "I'm AJ, and I'm going to another village to catch some new Pokemon. I'm from Goldenrod City, so when I heard there was Kanto Pokemon here, I had to come." AJ said, smiling at Alice. She looked back at Hercules and scowled playfully. "put me down!" Hercules actually listened, and placed AJ on the ground, still staring at the dog Pokemon.
