i'm visiting america at the end of the year and it will be the most glorious thing, to be in the same timezone as everyone

haha, sucks for you! (i am sure you will experience the joy one day)
this will be my first trip to america, so i am SUPER PUMPED about it. it is kind of a gift to me (from my parents, even though I'M PAYING FOR MOST OF IT) a reward for "hooray, you are not a drop-out or a failure, congrats dude"
i am honestly just using it as a way to meet my online friends because why wouldn't i

Yeah, just keep rubbing it in, won't you! xD
Haha that's pretty awesome! Do you get to plan everything -- itinerary, etc -- by yourself? Are you getting to go alone? (Parental supervision = awkwardtiemz in my experience...)
We get a break before college starts, so my friends and I are planning to visit our Vietnamese friends' hometowns and maybe travel around China. xD Closer to home than the US, definitely.

oh, well, if you want me to...
yeah, i'm doing everything on my own! they're just paying for some of it. and i am going alone, thank the LORD. i don't know what i'd do if i had to go with them. i'm very curious about your parental supervision awkward-time stories, though.
why are you even moaning about me going to america?? do you want to trade? that sounds like heaps of fun!

Mostly things like "oh, don't just stand there; go make some friends!" or "go play with the kids, alright?" and I'm like "uh no plz. a) I'm a professional introvert kthnx and b) do you know how utterly intolerable children aged 5 to 10 can be? (Also, I am like twice their age okay)" and when I finally hang out with my friends and they come over... all the interestinf conversation topics are off-limits and we sit around looking awkward. eheh.
But I've never been to the US! I mean, other people are actually going there for college and I'm probably not. I've been to China a lot already, and while it's nice, it's just not as... new as going to US, you know? It'll be cool to experience different cultures, aha.
