[atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ so, this was it. he was finally an official pokemon trainer with a pokedex and everything! he had just gotten off of the phone with his father, and the butterflies in his stomach still haven't flown away. he bit down on his bottom lip, running his fingers over the pokeball that held his starter. from the phone call, his father gave him some information on wobbuffet. they weren't too fond of sunlight, and it's an instant destiny bond if you touch their tails. well, that's good to know.
dakota sighed, taking his free hand to push back some black strands of hair that fell over his square glasses. what was he supposed to do now? the professor said there was a gym, but he wasn't ready for that. train? yes. train. that sounded like a good idea. taking in a deep breatha nd adjusting his hoodie, the boy trudged further into the route, jumping at every sound. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 157 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female is watching the new trainer.pecking at the ground, looking for that runt of a caterpie, pidgey worried that there wouldn't be enough food for the approching autumn. then again, she would be migrating this fall for the first time, so whether there was enough food or not didn't really worry for her much longer. she didn't find that caterpie, but when foliage cracked and brushed from an approaching figure, she took to the tree and peered down at the black haired human, chirping at him.

[atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ this summer heat was really getting to him. his hand reached up, wiping off some beads of sweat that had formed on his forehead. how long had he been walking? surely not too long, but he wasn't too used to being out and about. he missed his cozy little room and his computer so. freakin'. much. but, this was a good experience for him. he would get into shape (though he was probably going to be just as wimpy as ever), and he would have a couple of companions to keep him company!
yeah, that was a nice thought.
dakota was brought out of his thoughts by the chirping of a bird. the lenses of his glasses gleamed as he turned his head towards the sound. it was a pidgey. it was so adorable! with a smile forming on his face, he walked towards the tree the dual type was perched in. he extended one hand out towards the bird slowly, trying not to scare it away. he puckered his lips slightly, letting out a few soft whistles. he wasn't going to be one of those trainers who instantly whipped out their pokemon and attack. no. his wobbuffet couldn't even do that. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 202 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female not nessicarily impressed with the human before her, the Pidgey chirped again, hopping further up the tree branch as it sagged under her slight weight. what was she going to do about him? she turned her head and began to groom herself, stopping when she heard the human whistling at her. was he ... was he trying to coax her down? watching his arm steadily approach her, she tilted her head again, chirped at him, and then fluttered past his head and onto the ground behind him. maybe if she was cute enough, she could score some food from him. [atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ his eyes widened slightly as the bird took flight, tilting his head up to follow it. he slowly turned around, blinking. well, at least it was off of the branch. he didn't have to strain his neck to look up. but, oh, the bird was so adorable! he could remember his old neighbor's having a couple of pidgeys, most of which were used for mail purposes. they always liked to peck at his hands, whether he had food in them or not.
wait, food! he reached for his bag on his back, fumbling with the zippers. dakota crouched down, using his knees to support the bag as he dug through it. he didn't have any berries just yet, but he was sure he had something for the little pidgey. oh, there it was! the boy pulled out a plastic bag with the sandwich his father had packed him for lunch. which he had forgotten to eat. eheh, well no is as good a time as any! placing his bag to the side, dakota sat down on the ground. he unzipped the little bag, taking out the sandwich. he tore off a decent chunk out of the bread, tossing it to the pidgey. then he took a bite out of the other side of the sandwich, thanking his father for not putting mustard on it. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 224 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female she followed his movements, each time she tilted her head to one side or another. this was rather interesting. having met a human who didn't immediately try and catch her, this Pidgey was rather intrigued by this scrawny looking human. she had previously flown away from the last trainer that tried to get her, but she was hungry now. alone most of the time, she wasn't going to stoop low to get what she wanted. and that was food at the moment. as he took out human food, she turned away from him, wondering if playing this close was a good thing. the piece of bread skipped and landed by her feet, making her flap her wings in annoyance. but, with a few seconds spent staring at the human, she began to peck at the bread, tearing small pieces of it away and into her beak. he took another small bite out of his sandwich, chewing thoughtfully as he watched the pidgey. he softly giggled--he's the manliest boy around, what are you talking about?--when the bird gave into temptation. he was tempted to take out his wobbuffet, but releasing the pokemon from his pokeball might scare off the bird. he didn't want that, not at all. from the same side he had torn the bread from, he took off another piece, tossing it once more at the pidgey's feet. he wasn't ready to simply reach over and drop it by its feet. the pidgey might fly away if he did that.

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female of course, like any wild pokemon, there was only so much this pidgey was comfortable in doing. being this close to a human was on the cusp of being uncomfortable, but... hey! free food! no need to go foraging or pecking or anything to that extent. maybe being caught wouldn't be such a big deal... when the pidgey finished her bit of bread, and chirped at the trainer. she was feeling very comfortable around him, although anxious that her new spur-of-the-moment plan might not work. when he tossed another piece by her feet, she picked it up, and hopped closer to him, setting down less than a hand-s width away from him, the pidgey began to eat her bread. hopefully this human would take the hint. [atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ another smile found its way on to his face. the bird was getting closer, and that made him happy, even if it was probably just for the free food. a way to anyone's heart was with food. at least, that's what his father had told him, and that man won many hearts with his baking skills. hm... he should get his father to make him poffins and pokemon food to give to his wobbuffet and any hungry pokemon he wanders upon. yeah, that sounded like a good idea.
he took another bite of his sandwich, suddenly finding his stomach full as he chewed and swallowed. it was probably the heat. it was always hard for him to eat in the heat. oh, hey, he rhymed! eheh, anyway... dakota glanced from the pidgey to the leftover half sandwich in his hand. well, it'd be a shame to let it go to waste. he tore the sandwich in half, lowering his hand towards the pidgey with the half sandwich resting on his palm.
there was a click from his bag, and a red beam shot out, taking the form of his wobbuffet. who let him out? "waaaaahbuffet!" the strange looking pokemon lifted his arm above his eyes, something that the boy assumed was to block out the sun. "i thought you didn't like sunlight, ianto." he let out a soft laugh, handing the other half of the sandwich towards the wobbuffet. oh, yeah, he didn't know what his own pokemon ate... well, it looks like it'll be a matter of trial and error for him. it's a learning experience. ianto grabbed the sandwich handed to him and stuck the whole thing in his mouth, not even bothering to chew. he was going to choke one of these days, he just knew it. hehe. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 301 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female he missed it completely. right over his head. the female pidgey would have laughed if she had the proper vocals for it, so instead she settled with a ruffle of her feathers and further picking of bread. she was enjoying her free lunch when the ever present sound of a pokeball click and the shrill shriek of a Pokemon followed. squawking out of surprise, the pidgey took to the branch above her and perched, trembling only slightly, and only for a moment. was he trying to catch her!? chirping at the other pokemon, she flew back down and puffed her chest out, ready to attack if necessary. [atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ he should have figured this would have happened. a small frown formed on his face, his eyes following the pidgey as it fled to a branch. his shoulders sagged slightly, and he turned his gaze to the wobbuffet staring intently at what was left in his hand. taking his free hand, he patted the blue psychic type's head. "you scared her, boy." ianto didn't seem to care, his attention fully focused on the last bits of sandwich.
no, he was not going to get the rest of it for scaring the poor pidgey. dakota sprinkled the crumbs and little chunks of bread in front of him in case the pidgey wanted to finish it off. sweeping back some ebony locks from his face, he pushed his glasses up to the bridge of his nose. "he's not going to attack." he bit down on his lower lip, blue eyes shifting from pokemon to pokemon. at least, he hoped ianto wouldn't. while his attacks were mainly to counter moves, that didn't mean he couldn't try to eat the bird or poke at it. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 181 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female sitting prettily on the ground, she watched the human scatter the breadcrumbs at her. still hungry, pecking at them, she kept her attention split between the human and the blue thing that had scared her so awfully. a long as it kept its distance from her, she wouldn't have to resort to violence. that was the very last thing she wanted to do. as a lower-leveled pokemon, she wasn't too strong, and fighting took too much energy from her. finishing off the bread crumbs, she lifted her head back up at the human, tilting it from side to side. she wasn't going to fight as long as the blue one kept it's distance.
use a pokeball and capture the pokemon? [/justify]

[atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ his frown turned back into a smile as the pidgey began eating again. at the next town, he would have to make sure and stock up on food. ianto was probably going to be a bottomless pit. dakota reached into his bag, shifting through the many different objects until he found his wobbuffet's pokeball. clicking the button and enlarging it, he pointed it towards ianto. the familiar red beam shot out, engulfing the wobbuffet. that was enough trouble out of him for one day. the boy turned his head to watch the pidgey once more, only to find it looking at him as well.
replacing ianto's pokeball into his bag, he took out one of the empty pokeballs he had received from the professor. he might as well attempt to catch the pidgey while it was this close. biting down on his lip again, he slowly clicked the button to make the sphere grow. he had never caught a pokemon before, so he wasn't too sure what to do. erm... he'll just try to tap the bird on the head with it. that should work, right? and so he did just that, reaching out with the empty pokeball and trying to get close enough to tap it on the head. oh, he just hoped it didn't attack him for doing this... | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 221 words ❞ ◤

PIDGEY , Level 4 , Tackle , Female the pidgey continued to watch the human, unfazed now that the blue one had gone back into the pokeball it came from. her brown eyes were locked soley on the trainer, showing loyalty and devotion that not a lot of wild pokemon actually have at first to their new trainers. as he came closer, she nervously clawed the ground, but didn't move. then the ball clicked, and a red light took her in. she fought initally, as any pokemon would.
wiggle. wiggle. twitch. click.
congratulations! you've got the pokemon! -1 Pokeball should be taken from your bag.nickname up to trainer , female pokemon level four , tackle. [/justify]

[atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ did he... really... catch is? blue eyes stared down at the pokeball as it twitched on the ground, a grin forming from ear to ear at the click. he did! oh, this was his first catch, and he didn't even have to fight it! father would be so proud. though, he should really train the both of them up while he was still on his route... dakota reached over, picking up the pidgey's pokeball. with a content sigh, he placed it gently into his bag next to ianto's pokeball. the boy stood up, wobbling a bit, and dusted off his pants. he would have to name his newest partner later. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ mod ❞ ❝ 110 words ❞ ◤
