A girl with pink tinted hair was sitting in the front seat along with her older sister, Rinka. The silver mustang with blue stripes down the front pulled up to the entrance of the laboratory. The engine cut off, and Rinka got out of the car, closing the door before she walked around to the other side. She opened the door and blinked curiously at her sister when she refused to get out of the car. Her eyes grew soft and she sighed, looking a bit disappointed in her sister. "C'mon, Ranka." Rinka's little sister shook her head, and she didn't bother getting out of the car. "Do you want a pokemon?" Ranka nodded, and she hesitated as she got out of the car. She began to bite on her nails nervously until Rinka grabbed her face and kissed her on the lips. Her eyes widened, and she pulled away from her sister. "R-Rinka!?!?!? W-We're sisters!" "So what?" "I-I don't believe that siblings can be in love with each other like that. Plus, I'm straight!" "Whatever. Now, get in there and get your first pokemon." Rinka huffed slightly, giving her sister a push towards the entrance. When Ranka turned around to hug her sister, Rinka was already in the car. She managed to smile, and she gave her sister a friendly wave. By the expression on Rinka's face, she looked pretty upset, but she smiled and waved at Ranka. Rinka started the car up, and she slowly drove off. Ranka shivered when she still felt the taste of Rinka on her lips. I can't believe she did that! Eventually, she stopped chewing on her nails, and she walked into the laboratory. This is her second time visiting the laboratory. She came here when her sister got her first pokemon, which was a charmander. The girl scanned the laboratory with her blue eyes, searching for the professor she met when she was nine. "Professor Lief? Are you here?" she called for the professor. Honestly, she was very nervous and didn't want to be there. It seemed like a great idea at first, but she was worried that her first pokemon wouldn't like her. This is a big step for her, and she didn't want to mess it up. [/size]

The smell of burnt cookies wafted through the air around the lab. Lief had burnt the last batch of cookies and was pretty much still sulking about it. He was sitting at his desk in the back room, eating one of the burnt ones. They weren't too bad, but he wasn't going to offer them to a trainer. Speaking of which, his fine turned hearing picked up the sound of his door opening. Standing, he brushed the crumbs from his chest and put a smile on his face and headed out.
"Hello!" He called out to the pink headed girl, smiling kindly at her. "I'm Professor Lief. How can I help you today?"

Burnt cookies...? The air smelled like burnt cookies, and it made Ranka wonder if the professor was making cookies. Too bad they were burnt. Ranka was starving! Her sister didn't give her the chance to eat something before they left the house. Rinka was so excited that her sister was getting her first pokemon today. She was going to come with Ranka into the lab, but she was quite upset when she found out that Ranka didn't feel the same about her. She was too embarrassed, so she left. The girl tilted her head and blinked at the professor curiously. He didn't recognize her? Well, it had been years since she last visited him, so no wonder he didn't recognize her. "Professor Lief, you don't remember me? Ranka Acazakii~! Does that name ring a bell? I'm here to get my first pokemon."

"Professor Lief, you don't remember me? Ranka Acazakii~! Does that name ring a bell? I'm here to get my first pokemon." The professor stared at her for a second, as if trying to remember her face. Of course! Didn't she have an older sister? "You're the one with the older sister, hmm? I'm sorry with how awful this is coming out, but you have to understand, I can see upwards of fifty kids a week; if you don't stick out in my head I'm the only one to blame." Lief chuckled before he motioned her over to a long table where water bottles and freshly made sandwiches were placed. "Help yourself to whatever, and I wont be offended if you pack some of that away. I'll be right back with your Pokemon!"
